Maxitrol’s GV60 combination gas control system is a digital On-Demand Ignition (ODI) technology that provides an energy efficient, reliable, and safe ignition process. The GV60 ODI system meets or, in some cases, exceeds the energy conservation requirements of both Europe and North America.
The GV60 is classified as a non-permanent pilot per the Ecodesign Directive 2009/125/EC and Energy Labeling Directive 2010/30. It is recognized by the European notified body KIWA in the Netherlands. It also supports ErP compliance and provides a majority of the points needed for the Ecodesign Directive.
In North America this ODI system is listed as an On-Demand Pilot and is included in all relevant North American standards related to ignition controls. This green system eliminates energy consumption during appliance inactivity. When the appliance is inactive for an extended period of time, the system automatically extinguishes the pilot.
