Product Engineer - Mechanical
Responsibilities :
• Test, analyze, and evaluate components and materials for new and existing products.
• Define and establish manufacturing test specifications.
• Resolve technical/quality issues with suppliers and production.
• Become the technical expert for all assigned products and applications.
• Maintain a working knowledge of all industry standards and specifications that apply to assigned product families.
• Analyze current products and make recommendations/changes to improve cost, quality, and performance.
• Manage the transition of new products from R&D into production.
• Effectively communicate technical material.
Requirements :
• Requires a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 3-5 years Product Engineering experience in a High Volume Production Operation.
• Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Must be experienced with using MSOffice, AUTOCAD, and SolidWorks.

Salesperson Distribution
The prospective representative candidate will be assigned a territory responsible for all sales functions including but not limited to the maintenance and development of existing customer accounts and the development of new customer business. This position requires a hands-on individual who is comfortable with the company product line and working with their customers on commercial issues in a professional manner. This position requires someone with a high level of self motivation and good time management skills. The position will be based out of our Southfield, MI headquarters.
Responsibilities :
• Maintain and improve sales volume with your established OEM customer base and develop new customer prospects.
• Manage monthly contact with your customer list to address commercial issues as required.
• Maintain and initiate required internal communication with Maxitrol staff on behalf of the customer as technical issues arise.
• Promote the expansion of the Maxitrol Company brand name in your sales territory.
• Identify, prioritize, and nurture new relationships between prospective Corporate Target Markets and accounts.
• Communicate and report on market conditions, monitor competitor business activities and identifying areas of expansion with current customers.
• Periodically report on customer accounts on sales trends and technical requirements.
Qualifications :
• Experience obtaining and documenting product specifications.
• Ability to identify, qualify customers and recognize commercial opportunities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
• Travel is required.
• Knowledge of HVAC, Heat Processing and/or Natural Gas Industry a plus.
• Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Education :
• 4-year college degree in Business or Marketing. (Engineering or Technical Degree a plus)
• 2-5 Years selling experience
• Must have computer skills in MS word, MS Excel, Lotus Notes (plus)
