Facilities Maintenance
Description

The Facilities Maintenance candidate will be responsible for general maintenance required for the upkeep of the Maxitrol Company Facilities as directed by the Facilities Manager. Responsible for assisting with all aspects of building maintenance and upkeep. Will work on projects including renovation, repair and large landscaping projects.

Responsibilities

Janitorial
Including mopping, polishing utilizing a floor polishing machine, vacuuming, glass cleaning, sweeping, and other cleaning duties as needed. You will replace light bulbs, move furniture, trash duties, light plumbing as needed etc.

Mail Room
Taking mail to the post office, processing certified mail, creating shipping documents, occasional deliveries.

Hi-Lo Responsibilities
Operating a Hi-lo is required to perform various tasks throughout the facility and grounds including loading and unloading delivery trucks, movement of storage and shipping crates etc.

General Maintenance and Upkeep
Low level electrical and HVAC work required. This includes changing filters and lubricating equipment, cleaning squirrel cages, hosing down condensers, and checking belts according to our schedules, among other like duties. Painting and carpentry work as needed.

Landscaping and Grounds Keeping
Snow removal and deicing. Vehicle cleaning and light maintenance. You will drive cars, vans, tractors, and quads in the performance of your duties.

All other duties as directed.

Physical Demands

The person in this position must have manual dexterity such as the ability to perform intricate finger, hand, wrist, and arm movements without risk of injury to self or others. This includes the ability to feel, twist, handle and manipulate small objects, tools, and controls. 

Position requires regular use of machines and equipment such as tractors, Hi-low, snow plows, and various power tools such as drills, screw guns etc. 

Position requires regular use of non-power tools including shovels, rakes, carts, dollies and various hand tools such as Screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, hammers etc. 

Position requires regular exposure to heights including work on the roof and in rafters utilizing ladders. 

Position may require occasional electrical work and work with gas mechanical systems and plumbing systems. 

Position requires the ability to stand/walk for long periods of time. 

The person in this position will frequently be required to walk, reach with hands and arms, sit, stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 5 to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Possibly lift more than 50 pounds with assistance. 

Good eyesight, including close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus is required. 

Work Environment
The maintenance person will work in indoor and outdoor environments that may or may not fluctuate with the external weather conditions. While performing the required duties of this job, the employee will regularly be exposed to vibration, moving mechanical parts, loud noise levels, and inclement weather conditions.

Experience with facilities maintenance required 

Education

High School Diploma
